Two years have passed since he is no longer with us but his memory is always here. Many liked him, it was impossible not doing it! A great guy, a talent that would shine more and more, but above all a nice, honest, sincere person: you can meet very few like him, not only in Formula 1 but in the real life.
I miss him, as so many people do, even those who did not know him personally, but perhaps followed him with sympathy. It hurts not to have it with us but his memory
I am sure Charles Leclerc is missing him as well, another young talent. I met Charles for the first time in Nice, the day of the funeral of Jules. He was destroyed by the pain of the loss of his friend and I was struck by the great similarity between the two, they seemed like brothers. People close to him, like Nicolas Todt and Massimo Rivola, tell me that he is a beautiful person, just as Jules was.
Today it seems confirmed that Charles will try for Ferrari at the next Budapest test. His results, not only in F2 this year, but also in the other categories he has raced so far, are impressive and he also seems destined for a great career. Who knows, maybe he will succeed in crowning Jules’s dream of racing for Ferrari in Formula 1. I really wish him that the dream will be fulfilled because it would be in a way that Jules could be with him at the wheel of the Rossa.
